Scope and Contents The text is carefully written in a late eighteenth-century hand (evidence of pricking survives in the outer margins of most of the leaves) and bears marks of Sir Walter Scott's editorial work. This armorial is closely related to MS.10338; the text in both manuscripts is the same, but the names of some of the Scottish queens are omitted in MS.19610 (folios 2-3) and the reference to James VI as king of England (folio 4 verso) is added in the margin. The coats of arms were originally in trick and have been painted.
